Beginning March next year, Ethiopian Airlines will service additional routes to other parts of the world. The new routes will include, Comoros, Greece and Norway. This was made known at an event that was organized by the airline company to reward individuals and institutions last Friday.
The awards and dinner night was held to appreciate and recognize staff, travel agents and the media for their contribution in making Ethiopian Airlines the best in Africa and of the most preferred airlines across the globe within the last 12 months.
Awardees were given a cheque with an undisclosed amount and airline tickets. Ethiopian Airlines which for the 5th year running was adjudged, the best airline by the African Airlines Association this year, is also the continent’s longest operating airline and recently celebrated 70 years in the business. The additional routes is expected to meet growing demand of passengers for the airline to operate to previously unchartered territories.
Ghana Country Manager Genet W. Michael expressed was very upbeat about the newest addition, saying that it is to further consolidate its leadership position in the aviation in Africa. She said Ethiopian Airlines has introduced more competitive and exciting products to enhance customer satisfaction.
‘’ We are operating in Ghana with the very latest aircraft, we have a very competitive fare, our services are up to the standard, so we want our customers to come and taste our service. ET is the only airline that flies Dreamliner 787 to Accra, which is the latest. Entertainment is really fantastic, business class service is really top notch and we believe we have the best product in the market,’’ she stated.
